The drugs that are prescribed for the treatment of high blood pressure are effective, but can have a host of side effects.

Moderate drinking does not seem to hurt, and only a couple of drinks a day can lower the blood pressure it’s the heavy drinking that hurt’s. Light to moderate drinking can be defined as one to three drinks a day.

One drink is twelve ounces of beer, one glass of wine, or one shot of hard liquor. If you stay below these guidelines, then drinking will probably not be a problem.
